Pocklington Tennis Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities – from beginners who want to learn how to play tennis to those striving for top club standard.
A full timetable of club evenings and days cater for social tennis. No prior arrangement has to be made; members come along when convenient and all levels of abilities mix together for a series of friendly matches. Club nights are on Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings from 6pm.
For those seeking competitive, local league tennis, the club has a number of teams throughout the Driffield Lawn Tennis League, the Ladies’ Fulford Invitation League and York Men’s Tyke Leagues. In addition, the club also runs a series of tournaments throughout the season with a large Club Tournament at the end.
The club is also activity pursuing plans to install floodlights on four courts along with a gated entry system which will allow for the provision of play-to-play which will make our facilities available to non-members. >>Read the latest update on this project<<
Pocklington Tennis Academy offers a full tennis coaching programme, organised by our LTA qualified coach Sean Evans, for both juniors and adults. Under 16s are catered for with a range of activities specifically for our junior members.

Pocklington Tennis Club fully supports the LTAA British Tennis Go Hit It campaign.
Whether you have been inspired to start playing by Andy Murray and Heather Watson at Wimbledon or want to get back into playing after some time away, we have lessons, open club nights and local league tennis teams that are perfect for all levels.

Tennis Club Clothing
The Tennis Club has arranged with Sue at Schoolwear Shop, 62 High Street, Holme on Spalding Moor, YO43 4EN (Tel: 01430 860966) to obtain tennis clothing which is embroidered with the Club’s logo.
Sue can order almost any make of clothing in, therefore almost all different qualities too.
There is a minimum of four items per order. Embroidery of the logo is charged at £2.50 per item, but can only be embroidered on brand new items.
