Tennis For Kids
Everything you need for your child to start playing tennis for just £29.99!
If you would like to see if your child would enjoy tennis but are concerned about the initial expense, then this is for you! For just £29.99 (inc p&p), your child will receive 6 starter lessons with our LTA qualified coaches here at Pocklington Tennis Club, plus a Tennis For Kids racquet, a set of balls, and a T-shirt personalised with their name on it.
This is open to children who have not played tennis before and are non-members (though we do hope that your child will enjoy the lessons and you will then consider them joining us for our junior coaching sessions and camps).
What do the lessons cover?
In short: all of the basic essentials!
We’ll start with how to hold a racquet and move on to hitting the ball and taking part in a rally. Not only that but the lessons help build self-confidence and develop life skills such as teamwork and respect, as well as providing great exercise.
Our coaches, all of whom are LTA qualified, will make sure that your child is engaged in appropriate activities and are given a brilliant foundation in tennis. Most of all, they will make sure that they have fun!
Pocklington Tennis Club is an LTA registered venue so you know that your child is in safe hands. Alongside our Safeguarding Policy, we have a fully qualified Welfare Officer and our coaching staff have fully up to date DBS checks.
Tennis For Kids is the perfect way for children to learn new skills, make new friends and get into this brilliant sport.
How can my child get involved?
Our planned Tennis For Kids course in April has been postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We will look to re-schedule this as soon as possible.
Can’t wait until then?
Take a look at the tennis lessons we have available, see what our junior members are up to or check out our tennis camps.
