Pocklington Tennis Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities – from beginners who want to learn how to play tennis to those striving for top club standard.
A full timetable of club evenings and days cater for social tennis. No prior arrangement has to be made; members come along when convenient and all levels of abilities mix together for a series of friendly matches. Club mornings are on Saturday and Sunday from 10am.
For those seeking competitive, local league tennis, the club has a number of teams throughout the Driffield Lawn Tennis League, the Ladies’ Fulford Invitation League and York Men’s Tyke Leagues. In addition, the club also runs a series of tournaments throughout the season with a large Club Tournament at the end.
The club is also in the process of installing floodlights on four courts along with a gated entry system which will allow for the provision of play-to-play which will make our facilities available to non-members.
Pocklington Tennis Academy offers a full tennis coaching programme, organised by our LTA qualified coach Sean Evans, for both juniors and adults. Under 16s are catered for with a range of activities specifically for our junior members. Our extremely popular tennis camps are a great way for 5-16 year olds to enjoy the school holidays.
Non-members can request to book a court, at a cost of £10 of per hour, through our online booking form (subject to availability).
