Pocklington Tennis Inclusive Sessions

Pocklington Tennis Inclusive Sessions

Sport For All!

It is an exciting time ahead for Pocklington Tennis Club with their Inclusive Programme with the aim of providing ‘Sport for All’.

The club already runs a successful inclusive session each Friday at 2.30 – 3.30pm. This is for adults with a learning and physical disability. This session is linked to a local residential home, but these sessions are open to all in the local area. This has been grant funded by Pocklington Rugby in the Community.

Now, thanks to funding from East Riding Council the club can now boast 4 tennis wheelchairs with secure storage, funded by a number of partners. These sessions will be provided in the very near future for those with a physical disability, those returning for injury or those with mobility issues.

This is an exciting time for the club as with wheelchair tennis able-bodied and disabled can play side by side and we will be launching the sessions shortly.
